About Us

In preparing our children to become the next generation of leaders, the expectations are high. Private support for our K-12 public schools can make the difference between an average education and an extraordinary one.

The MPPS Education Excellence Foundation's mission is to focus community resources and raise funds for the Mt. Pleasant Public School District in order to promote academic excellence. Ultimately, the Education Foundation's financial support will allow teachers to use the most innovative resources, and provides the very best opportunities for our students.

Our Funds

The MPPS Education Excellence Foundation is housed within the Mt. Pleasant Area Community Foundation, which serves as a depository for the funds raised. In connecting with the Community Foundation, the MPPS Education Foundation can take advantage of the well-established investment resource in the local community. The MPPS Education Excellence Foundation is maintained as a stand-alone fund within the Community Foundation.

Our Leadership

The Education Excellence Foundation is lead by a leadership advisory board who share a strong interest in ensuring educational excellence in the Mt. Pleasant Public School District. Advisory Board members are alumni, community members, school administrators and faculty. The Board is responsible for general direction in program funding, assistance in fund development efforts and reaching out to other alumni and constituents interested in supporting the Foundation’s efforts to promote excellence in education in the Mt. Pleasant Public School District.
